WELCA and Groups

WELCA will host various church-wide gatherings throughout the year open to all women. It sponsors the All Daughters Banquet in the spring along with an annual plant sale. WELCA supports the Widow’s Mite Fund at Trinity to assist women members when the need arises.

WELCA participates in Lutheran World Relief soap drives; in Church Women United Blanket Sunday and other CWU gatherings; in Thank offering Sundayfor Church-wide ministries; and, in regional WELCA cluster meetings.

WELCA provides Bibles to each couple married at Trinity and Baptismal candles to each newly baptized person
As you can see, the activities of the WELCA are many and important to the overall ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church.

The roots of Sarah Circle began in 1945 when 27 young ladies of Trinity, charted an organization called Trinity Fidelis (Always Faithful), dedicated to care of the altar and its appointments, including cleaning of the chancel area.  It meets on the third Monday of the month (May-October) in the Trinity Library.

The Martha and Mary Circle began in the early 1980’s as young women’s Bible Study group.  Today Bible Study remains an important and central part of this Circle.    Currently the group meets at 5:30 on the 2nd Monday at Panera in Stow. The official program starts at 6:15.

The Rebecca Circle is a group of women who meet during the daytime and have had a long history here at Trinity serving the Church and meeting the needs of its fellow members. The Rebecca Circle meets on the first Thursday of the month at 1:00 p.m. in March through June and September through December.

The Tabitha Circle began in 1994 as a team of women interested in making crafts and quilting.  It meets as needed to tie lap robes, finish quilts and assemble kits for Lutheran World Relief.

The Pauline Circle a co-ed gardening circle dedicated to keeping the church grounds trimmed, planted and neatly kept. Anyone who enjoys gardening or landscaping work is invited to join this group at any time – during the weekly work sessions of the growing season, or for special projects.

WELCA has many options for meeting and serving. We would love to have you join us in our ministry.  If you are interested in any of our groups, please contact:
