Trinity Lutheran Church

Classes are held for youth age 3 through High School and there are also two adult classes each Sunday morning.    Sunday school begins with an openng at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary with songs, offerings and announcements.  The classes this year are parallelling the Sunday morning worship Scripture readings with a program called "Seasons of the Spirit".    One adult class will follow these readings and the other adult class will explore current topics of faith and interest.

The Hosanna youth choir (grades 7-12) also meets during the Sunday School hour.

Youth

We have two groups for youth, Junior High Youth for grades 5-7 and Senior High Youth for grades 8-12.

Confirmation Classes

Confirmation Classes are held for youth in 8th and 9th grades on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year. 9th grade students are also teamed up with adult mentors in their final three months of study.

Classes are scheduled to begin Wednesday, September 3rd for youth in 8th and 9th grade.   Classes are from 5:30-6:30pm and will be meeting in the library and the narthex. 

Bible Study 

Bible Study classes are held throughout the week. A Bible study meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday mornings at 11:00 a.m. throughout the school year with a current focus on the Romans. A men's Bible study gathers on Saturday mornings at 7:30 a.m. with a current focus on the Gospel of Mark. A teen Bible study is held on the first and third Sundays at 12:00 p.m. through the school year.

National Youth Gathering

New Orleans, LA - July 22-26, 2009

Seventeen youth and three adult chaperones are jazzed because we're registered and heading to the gathering in July 2009.   The group meets regularly for fundraising events, group building and study of materials to prep us for this awesome event. 

The theme is Jesus-Justice-Jazz and it draws from the rich faith history, diverse cultures, and arts of New Orleans. It will stretch our understandings of what it means to live in relationship and service with each other in the manner of Christ—for life!  Keep up to date on Gathering events by going to  http://www.elca.org/youth/gathering.html
